Christmas Toys

Well, it's been a while since I've written. Mom went out and got a regular job so there's no one here to turn on the computer for me.
Did you have a good Christmas? You would think that I would enjoy all the lights and tree and other decorations, but frankly, they make me afraid. Birds in general just don't like unfamiliar stuff. You never know, it might be after me. Mom tried to hang a new toy in my cage, but I thought it was going to get me so I freaked out and she had to remove it. Now it's over sitting where I can see it and get used to it being around.
The dogs got big rawhide bones to chew on. They're so easy. Any little bone or tidbit makes them happy.
Did any of you get a bird for Christmas? If you haven't figured it out yet, we're messy, loud and destructive. But we're also so cute that you can't help but love us. Talk at you later.

A book!

Hi again. My mom wrote a book about me for children! It's full of great pictures of me leading my exciting life. Now she is looking for a publisher. Who knows, I may be the next Peter Rabbit! Wow, a literary star. Who'd a thunk it.

LOVE!

I am totally and completely in LOVE! She lives in the tv and only comes around when they're advertising Corona beer. I can't take my eyes off that beautiful big red and green macaw! For those of you who aren't familiar with parrot breeds, thats a green wing macaw, not a scarlet. Scarlets have a band of yellow feathers where the green ones are on the green wing. Mom says she's sort of toying with the idea of another parrot, but I would hate that. I can't stand the thought of not being the center of attention at all times.

Destruction!!

Hi again! Here I am destroying my arch nemesis, the toilet paper role. When I'm done with it theres nothing left but little bitty bits. Boy does that make me happy! My other bathroom nemesis are the plastic pill bottles ( once they're empty of course ). Mom thinks its funny to keep putting the child proof caps back on them once I get them off. I also like to play in the drawers! Theres all kinds of things in them to get myself in trouble with! Talk at you later!

Annoying Games

Here I am, just minding my own business, and mom starts making me watch her play this annoying computer game. I think just to piss her off I'm going to start saying, "We're stuck! We're stuck!" She gets mad when the game says it, so we'll see.

Confessions of a caged bird

Hi Again, Is there anything better than getting your head scratched by someone you trust? I don't think so. Just getting your head feathers moved around is pure heaven. And frankly, there's just some places I can't reach with my beak.
I went outside with mom last night when it cooled off. Wild birds were landing on the back fence to have a look at how gorgeous I am. The only one that made me nervous was the hawk circling overhead, but mom was there to keep me safe.
I also got to walk around and attack the dog's rope toy. I'm pleased to say I do way more damage to it than they do. Shiloh kept taking it away from me though, and since he weighs 35 lbs and I'm only 1 lb, he usually gets his way.
So I snuck up behind him and gave the back of his leg a little nip. I'll teach him not to mess with the beak!
Talk at you later.
